March 2008 "Student of the Month" Joel Underwood

Joel has been studying trumpet for five years and piano for a year and a half under Mr. Mancini at Love The Arts! School of Music. Joel attends Hickory Street Baptist Church in Scranton, PA where his father is Pastor. At church, Joel performs special music at least once a month and is looking forward to polishing his piano accompaniment skills. His goal is to accompany the congregation. This is Joel’s third time as Student of the Month; he previously received the award in April 2003 and March 2006. Joel’s favorite song to perform is “Rejoice in the Lord”
