Philip P. Bliss

Field Trip & Fund Raiser

This year we will visit the P.P. Bliss Gospel Songwriters Museum in Rome, PA on July 19. Our trip will coincide with the P.P. Bliss Singspiration Celebration and we will tour his home and museum. P.P. Bliss was a leading Gospel songwriter and this will mark the 171st anniversary of his birth.

The museum is run on a volunteer and donation basis. This year's focus will be to repair the roof of the museum. Love The Arts! School of Music is asking its students to help make the museum's fund drive a success by collecting donations to present to the museum the day of our visit.

We will run a quarter collection contest from May 1st through July 1st. Students may turn in their quarters at each lesson. Students collecting the most quarters will win a prize.

Students may deposit their quarters at each lesson; Mrs. Mancini will keep a running total and announce the prize winners in the July-August newsletter.
